HASTELLOY® C-276 UNS alloy N010286 ALLOY 276 werkstoff 2.4819 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy that is extremely versatile in that it combines excellent corrosion resistance with good thermal stability conferred by a low propensity for grain-edge precipitation. This feature makes it usable for a wide range of applications in the field of chemical plants where there is a need for welded constructions. Should the requirements not be met, Hastelloy C-22 is the ideal solution as it has superior thermal stability. The presence of a fair amount of chromium and molybdenum gives Hastelloy® C-276 excellent resistance to both oxidizing and reducing agents; however, the high molybdenum content makes it more suitable in environments where reducing attack is present. Molybdenum also imparts excellent behavior in localized corrosion such as pitting or “crevice corrosion” and “stress corrosion cracking.” Hastelloy® C-276 alloy also has good resistance to desulfurization plant gases. HASTELLOY® C-276 UNS alloy N010286 ALLOY 276 werkstoff 2.4819 is used for chemical plant components, pollution control equipment, and oil & gas plants.
