HASTELLOY® C-22 nickel alloy UNS N06022 werkstoff 2.4602 is a very versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy that has superior corrosion resistance compared to nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys (C-4 and C-276 alloys). It exhibits excellent behavior in pitting and “crevice corrosion” generating environments by providing excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Hastelloy® C-22 UNS N06022 werkstoff 2.4602 due to the high presence of chromium compared to other C-series alloys also has excellent resistance to oxidizing agents in solution-nitric acid, ferric ions, and chlorine ions. In addition, due to the presence of molybdenum it provides good resistance to reducing agents. Hastelloy® C-22 nickel alloy UNS N06022 werkstoff 2.4602 is used for chemical plant components, pollution control equipment, pharmaceutical plants and oil & gas plants.
