A182 F44 254 SMO® W. 1.4547

Superustenitic stainless steel A182 F44 254 SMO® W 1.4547 is excellent for submarine marine and other aggressive environments containing chlorides. A182 F44 – 254 SMO® W 1.4547 steel is a 6% molybdenum-nitrogen alloyed austenitic stainless steel with very high resistance to both uniform and localized corrosion. This product was specially developed for offshore oil and gas platforms and the pulp and paper industry, and for the following applications: resistance to chlorinated seawater components, sewage gas cleaning, marine exhaust gas cleaning, bleaching equipment in the pulp and paper industry, flanges and valves, and fasteners. Corrosion resistance of A182 F44 – 254 SMO® is optimal in the solubilized state and with high values of the corrosion resistance index (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number – PREN = %Cr + 33-%Mo + 16-%N); PREN>425.
