Werkstoff 1.4542 AISI 630
17-4 PH Werkstoff 1.4542 AISI 630 is a martensitic stainless steel with excellent mechanical properties and remarkable corrosion resistance.
Due to its chemical composition that includes chromium, nickel, and copper, this material can achieve high hardness and strength through heat treatment aging (precipitation).
The use of 17-4 PH Werkstoff 1.4542 AISI 630 in the production of fasteners offers several advantages:
Bulk density: at 20°C 7.75 kg/dm3 Modulus of elasticity: at 20°C 196,000 N/mm2 Linear expansion coefficients: 108 µm/m °C (10 – 100°C)
- High Mechanical Strength: After aging treatment, it can reach a tensile strength of up to 1100-1300 MPa.
- Corrosion Resistance: The presence of chromium provides good corrosion resistance superior to carbon steels and conventional martensitic stainless steels.
- Good Workability: Before the aging treatment, the material is relatively soft and can be worked with ease.
