Super duplex steel A182 F55 UNS S32760 WERKSTOFF 1.4501 is a stainless steel with high Cr content greater than 25% and biphasic Ni-Mo-N (mixed austenitic and ferritic structure) resistant to pitting and stress corrosion. The addition of nitrogen gives this alloy excellent mechanical strength and great toughness while significantly improving corrosion resistance and high temperature stability. Corrosion resistance of super duplex A182 F55 UNS S32760 WERKSTOFF 1.4501 is optimal in the solubilized state and with high point corrosion resistance index values (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number – PREN = %Cr + 33-%Mo + 16-%N). All duplex stainless steels with PREN>40 are to be considered from the super duplex family. Use at temperatures below 300°C is recommended. Super duplex A182 F55 UNS S32760 WERKSTOFF 1.4501 is used for valve components, pumps, piping, infrastructure and in all components subjected to very severe corrosive conditions making it ideal for marine applications.
