ASTM specification A193 grade B8A A320 grade B8A defines the technical characteristics of stainless steel fasteners suitable for application in pressure vessels and in the presence of high or low temperature (service temperatures -196°C to 800°C); this type of fasteners is widely used in the chemical petroleum extraction and energy plant sectors.
It differs from ASTM A193 B8A A320 B8 by the fact that the parts in the finished state undergo solution treatment to achieve final hardness in the 90-192 HB range.
