La faible densit\u00e9 du titane et son excellent rapport r\u00e9sistance\/poids en font le mat\u00e9riau pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 pour de nombreux environnements chimiques corrosifs, y compris les solutions oxydantes de chlorure, l&rsquo;eau de mer et les agents de blanchiment \u00e0 base de chlore.<\/p>\n<p>Le titane est solide et poss\u00e8de une densit\u00e9 de 4,5 g\/cm\u00b3, environ \u00e0 mi-chemin entre l&rsquo;aluminium et l&rsquo;acier. Son rapport r\u00e9sistance\/poids en fait un excellent choix pour les avions et les engins militaires, o\u00f9 il a \u00e9t\u00e9 initialement introduit comme mat\u00e9riau structurel. Le titane est d\u00e9sormais largement utilis\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;industrie a\u00e9rospatiale et les processus chimiques. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un m\u00e9tal r\u00e9actif qui d\u00e9pend d&rsquo;une couche protectrice (TiO2) pour sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la corrosion.<\/p>\n<h3>Quelques applications :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Eau de mer et autres solutions chlor\u00e9es<\/li>\n<li>Hypochlorite et chlore humide<\/li>\n<li>Acide nitrique, y compris les acides fumants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les sels tels que FeCl3 et CuCl2, qui ont tendance \u00e0 corroder la plupart des autres m\u00e9taux et alliages, inhibent en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 la corrosion du titane. Le titane est extr\u00eamement r\u00e9sistant aux eaux agressives, encore plus que le zirconium. Il d\u00e9veloppe une fine couche de TiO2 apr\u00e8s une exposition prolong\u00e9e \u00e0 la vapeur \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures d&rsquo;environ 400\u00b0C. Le titane est un excellent choix, par exemple, pour les \u00e9changeurs de chaleur refroidis \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau de mer, \u00e0 condition que le c\u00f4t\u00e9 process soit \u00e9galement compatible. Cependant, il est attaqu\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re dangereuse dans l&rsquo;acide nitrique avec une forte teneur en NO2 et une faible teneur en eau, ainsi que dans les gaz halog\u00e8nes secs.<\/p>\n<p>Les alliages de titane trouvent de plus en plus d&rsquo;applications dans divers secteurs gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leurs excellentes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s. Plus r\u00e9cemment, avec la baisse significative du co\u00fbt du titane, ces alliages sont de plus en plus utilis\u00e9s dans d&rsquo;autres industries, telles que l&rsquo;offshore, le maritime et le sous-marin.<\/p>\n<h3>TITANE GRADE 2<\/h3>\n<p>Le grade 2 est l&rsquo;alliage pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 pour la plupart des applications industrielles n\u00e9cessitant une bonne ductilit\u00e9 et une excellente r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la corrosion. Les applications typiques du titane de grade 2 incluent les composants pour le secteur p\u00e9trolier et gazier, les r\u00e9cipients sous pression, les syst\u00e8mes de tuyauterie, les \u00e9changeurs de chaleur, les rev\u00eatements, les syst\u00e8mes de d\u00e9sulfuration des gaz d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement et de nombreux autres composants industriels. Nr. 3.7035<\/li>\n<li>TiGr2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>TITANE GRADE 5<\/h3>\n<p>Le titane de grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) est l&rsquo;alliage de titane le plus courant, repr\u00e9sentant environ 50% de tout le titane utilis\u00e9 dans le monde. Le Ti-6Al-4V contient 6% d&rsquo;aluminium et 4% de vanadium pour une r\u00e9sistance accrue. Le Ti-6Al-4V est extr\u00eamement r\u00e9sistant (jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 1100 MPa), l\u00e9ger et r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 la corrosion, ce qui en fait un excellent choix pour des applications de fixation exigeantes dans divers secteurs.
