This is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy extremely versatile as it combines an excellent corrosion resistance with a <b><i>good thermal stability<\/i><\/b> conferred by a poor propensity to precipitation on the grain edge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">HASTELLOY\u00ae C-276<\/span><\/b><\/span> is resistant to general corrosion, stresscorrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion in a broad range of severe environments. It has exceptional resistance to sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid; resists many of the most severe media encountered in chemical processing, including reducing and oxidising acids, highly oxidising neutral, and acid chlorides, solvents, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, wet chlorine gas, hypochlorites, and chlorine solutions.
