This feature makes it usable for a wide range of applications in the field of chemical plants where there is a need for welded constructions. Should the requirements not be met, Hastelloy C-22 is the ideal solution as it has superior thermal stability.\n\nThe presence of a fair amount of chromium and molybdenum gives Hastelloy\u00ae C-276 excellent resistance to both oxidizing and reducing agents; however, the high molybdenum content makes it more suitable in environments where reducing attack is present.
