It has good mechanical strength combined with excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for seawater applications.\n\nA182 F51 UNS S31803 Werkstoff 1.4462 SAF 2205 is used where ordinary austenitic stainless steels AISI 304 and 316 cannot withstand corrosive environmental conditions.
